Fiendish Amethyst is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• Upon entering an uncleared room, spawns 4 Amethyst Minions.
  • Amethyst Minions act identically to Hollow Minions, chasing enemies and dealing 40% of Golem's damage per tick with a chance to land a critical hit and deal 5× Golem's Damage. They will disappear once the room is cleared, without dropping a heart.

Interactions

• Trinket Multipliers: Affects the total number of Amethyst Minions created, based on the formula (Trinket Multiplier − 1) * 2, rounded down.
  • Henge Rock: By itself, Henge Rock is unable to increase the amount of Minions, unless other trinket multipliers increase Henge Rock's multiplier to be equal or more than 1.
  • Smelter + Golem: When Fiendish Amethyst is smelted onto Golem and its total multiplier becomes < 1, Fiendish Amethyst will only create 2 Minions.
• Friendly Rapid Fire Opal: Creates 1-2 additional Amethyst Minions, after any trinket multipliers.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Fiendish Amethyst rerolls it into Ribbed Rock.
